The field of design involves finding the right balance between users’ expectations, technicity, and costs. Yet we are now realising that none of these three parameters are enough for holding out in the long term - so we must set new goals for ourselves.
Each and every product, regardless of its nature, has a negative effect on the environment. Whether when extracting the raw material required to make it, when transforming it, producing it, transporting it, using it and/or disposing of it. This negative impact can be anticipated and reduced, so long as our desire to do so is included in our goals immediately during the design phase. This is known as eco-design. Expectations encompass usage, technicity, costs and environmental impact.
Our eco-design adventure started late 2020. Our goal? Responsibility! Offering low environmental impact products, helping consumption patterns change in our field, boosting our market and value chain, making reduced consumption a source of innovation, reducing the company’s impact on the environment.
